TAFE Mates: Student and Staff Terms and Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

1. About the Program

The TAFE Mates Program offers eligible TAFE SA students and staff access to discounts, tickets, and offers provided by third-party partners ("Partners"). These terms govern participation in the Program.

2. Eligibility

2.1 The Program is available to:

  • students currently enrolled at TAFE SA and in possession of a valid TAFE SA student ID card; and
  • current TAFE SA staff members in possession of a valid TAFE SA staff ID.

2.2 Eligibility may be verified at any time. Individuals who are no longer enrolled or employed, or whose ID is not current, are not eligible to access or redeem offers, regardless of when the offer was communicated.

3. Offers and Redemption

3.1 Offers, discounts, and tickets are provided by third-party Partners, not by TAFE SA. TAFE SA makes no guarantee regarding the availability, quality, or continued provision of any offer.

3.2 Offers are available while quantities last and are not guaranteed to every eligible participant. Where demand exceeds availability, TAFE SA reserves the right to determine allocation at its discretion.

3.3 Ongoing discounts and store offers are available to all eligible participants for the duration of the offer period, subject to clause 3.2.

3.4 Giveaways and limited-availability offers are limited to one entry or claim per person. Duplicate entries will be disqualified and the entrant may be removed from the draw or allocation entirely. TAFE SA reserves the right to verify and disqualify entries where multiple claims are identified under a single individual.

3.5 Where a giveaway, ticket, or offer requires a claim or response, participants must claim within 48 hours of notification. Unclaimed offers are forfeited and may be reallocated or redrawn at TAFE SA's discretion.

3.6 Offers are non-transferable and may only be redeemed by the eligible participant to whom they were issued, unless otherwise stated.

3.7 To access a Partner offer, participants are required only to present a valid TAFE SA student or staff ID. Partners participating in the Program are not permitted to require you to create an account, provide personal details, or sign up to any service as a condition of accessing an offer. If a Partner requests this, it should be reported to TAFE SA at [contact email].

4. TAFE SA's Liability

4.1 TAFE SA acts as a facilitator only. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TAFE SA accepts no liability for:

  • a Partner's failure to honour an offer;
  • the quality, safety, or suitability of any product, service, ticket, or experience offered through the Program;
  • any loss or disappointment arising from an offer being unavailable, changed, or withdrawn; or
  • any personal injury, property damage, or consequential loss arising from participation in a Partner offer or event.

4.2 Nothing in these terms excludes any rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

4.3 Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including any consumer guarantees that apply to goods or services supplied by a Partner, are not affected by these terms. Any concerns about a Partner's goods, services, advertising, pricing, offer conditions or failure to honour an offer should be raised directly with the Partner in the first instance and may also be reported to TAFE SA so that TAFE SA can consider whether the Partner should continue participating in the Program.

5. Privacy

5.1 To verify eligibility or facilitate redemption, TAFE SA may use your enrolment or employment and contact information in accordance with the TAFE SA Privacy Policy. Your information will not be shared with Partners beyond what is necessary to facilitate a specific offer, and only with your knowledge. TAFE SA does not usually disclose personal information to partners, unless needed for a specific offer and handled under the Privacy Policy.

6. Changes and Cancellation

6.1 TAFE SA reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Program at any time without notice.

6.2 TAFE SA reserves the right to disqualify participants who misrepresent their eligibility, submit duplicate entries, or attempt to misuse Program benefits.

7. Force Majeure / Circumstances Beyond Control

7.1 TAFE SA is not responsible for any delay, cancellation or inability to provide or allocate offers resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

8. General

8.1 These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia.

8.2 Participation in the Program constitutes acceptance of these terms.
