Student Wellbeing

Your wellbeing is about a lot more than just your health. Wellbeing includes your physical and emotional state, and is influenced by your thoughts and experiences.  Your wellbeing can change over time depending on what's going on around you.

What we do, and how we think about what's going on in our lives, can help us overcome difficulties, achieve our goals, and feel better about life in general.

As a student, the additional demands and responsibilities of study can sometimes make it challenging to focus on your wellbeing.  Taking one small step towards change can make a big difference - you may find some helpful hints in our 7 tips to thrive video.

Wellbeing Activities

Every year, in term 4, TAFE SA encourages our students and staff to participate in the 'Little Changes Challenge' - a 7-day wellbeing challenge which aims to inspire little changes in your life to improve your wellbeing.

The Resilience Factor - Building Blocks For Resilience

Resilience allows us to manage changes and challenges in life. It doesn't stop bad things from happening, but it helps us to cope, learn, and move forward in healthy and helpful ways.

Resilience increases our ability to work through challenging, painful or stressful life events, and helps us to achieve our learning and career goals.

The TAFE SA Resilience Factor postcards are adapted from Helen Stallman's 'Staying on Track' resource, which has many valuable tips for students on their learning journey. You can download and print the below resilience messages for your own personal use.
