Fast forward your next career move!

Careers experts are coming to your campus to celebrate National Careers Week.

Across Adelaide, Gilles Plains and Noarlunga you can meet employers, hear from industry speakers, and get practical advice to help you plan what comes next.

You’ll explore questions like:

  • What does it mean to risk everything for education?
  • The impact AI is having on the job market 
  • What’s stopping me from starting my own business?
  • Why am I not getting interviews?
  • Where can my TAFE course take me next?

These are big questions and we have the answers. 

Whether you are just starting your course or getting ready to graduate, there is something for you.

Students from all campuses are welcome. Choose the event that works best for you.

 

Event Program

Adelaide City Campus - Student Careers Conference

📅 Wednesday 13 May 2026

📍   B127 Lecture Theatre

 ⌚ 9:30 am to 4:00 pm 

This is a free event, but registration is required. 

Places are limited, so we recommend registering early to secure your spot. 

Register here for the full-day conference. 

Morning tea and lunch will be provided. When you register, please tell us if you have any dietary needs. 

You’re welcome to attend the sessions that interest you. However, students who can stay for the full day will be given preference when allocating places. 

What's on: 

You’ll move through a mix of expert talks, breaks, and time to connect with guest speakers and other students. 

  • A powerful keynote on taking risks to improve your future

  • A session on AI, jobs, and future opportunities  

  • A practical session on entrepreneurship and how to take your idea to the business world

  • Lunch and time to connect with others  

  • How AI can support grant writing in the not-for-profit sector

  • Tips from an expert to help get your application shortlisted

  • A final session on TAFE to university pathways  

  • Optional university tours to finish the day!

 

Gilles Plains Campus - Careers Expo

 📍   Old cafeteria

 ⌚ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm 

Join us for a Careers Expo where you can meet employers, explore job options, and learn more about your next career move.

What's on: 

You’ll have the chance to: 

  • attend the official opening at 11:00 am by The Hon. Lucy Hood who will welcome students, staff and industry guests 

  • meet employers and recruiters in person  

  • learn about current job openings  

  • explore career pathways in your field of study 

  • understand how different organisations recruit  

  • ask questions and make new connections. 

Event highlights 

  • Complete the Careers Expo activity for free pizza and coffee

  • Visit the TAFE SA booth and spin the wheel to win a prize.  

Whether you are just starting your course or getting ready to graduate, this is a great chance to connect with industry and take your next step. 

 

Noarlunga Campus - Careers Expo

 📍  Main Entry, NOA – 3 Common Area 

 ⌚ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

  • learn about current job openings  

  • explore career pathways in your area of study  

  • understand how different organisations recruit  

  • ask questions and make new connections.
