Library Services is continuing to improve the way you can find information, access resources and get support. Recent enhancements to the library catalogue and services make studying and researching easier, faster and more flexible. All in one place.

Here’s what you can use:

Primo: Smarter Searching in One Place

The library catalogue now uses Primo, a search tool we're adding to our catalogue that will enable you to retrieve content not only held in our libraries, but also from within our online databases and the wider internet all in the same search. Your search results will be richer and more comprehensive than ever before.

StudySmart: Self‑Paced Study Skills Support

StudySmart (formerly My Information Skills) is a flexible, self‑paced study skills tutorial available through the library.

You can:

• Work through the full tutorial from start to finish, or
• Use the menu to choose specific skills to focus on

The updated tutorial features refreshed content, a new layout, and a Digital Skills section with short videos and quizzes. This section is designed to support students who want extra help building confidence with the technology used in study.

Ask a Librarian: Modern Library Chat

Getting help is easier with the improved Library Chat service.

Look for the Ask a Librarian tab on library pages:

• Live chat with library staff is available 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday
• After hours, the chat converts into an email form so your question can still be answered
  

Your Digital Library Card

Forgotten your library card but need to borrow books or a laptop?

You can now access your digital library card directly from the library catalogue on your phone.

To add your digital card:

1. Log in to the library catalogue
2. Tap the person icon in the top right corner
3. Select MyCard
4. Add your card to your Android or iOS device

Your digital card can be used to borrow laptops and other library resources. Library staff are available to help if you need assistance.

One Login Across Library Services

A new single sign-on system will make accessing library resources with your TAFE SA Single Sign On easier than ever before. It’s now simple and seamless—one login, no barriers.
