In addition to Learn, students and staff have one account to access a range of TAFE SA tools:
Your TAFE SA email address is in your own name format, ie firstname.lastname@student.tafesa.edu.au. Use your TAFE SA email address to sign in to TAFE SA computers and various tools.
Open an internet browser to access any of these resources and you will be asked to enter your email and password in a ‘single sign-on’ screen. If you keep your browser window open, you won’t need to re-enter your password to access other resources.
You may also opt to forward your TAFE SA email to your personal email account.

By default, TAFE SA Email (Office 365) user passwords are set to expire every 90 days. When your password expires, you are notified upon signing in.
When you create a new password, you must meet the following requirements:
You cannot use your Student ID number or your first or last name as part of your password.
Note: Your password for My TAFE SA is now linked, and you can use your email address to sign in to your PC, Office 365, Learn and SIS.
If you forget your password, visit MyTAFE SA and click Perform a Password Reset or visit https://otp.tafesa.edu.au. An unlock code will be sent to the personal email address you provided when you enrolled with TAFE SA. Otherwise if you have previously changed your password recovery details, the code will be sent to your chosen method (phone or email).
Update your password recovery contact details To update your email address or phone number for recovering your password, visit https://otp.tafesa.edu.au. You must know your current password to change these details.
Please Note: If you change the password for your email account, make sure you also update the password in any mobile devices or other email programs that you have configured.
You can access your TAFE SA emails with most internet capable mobile phones, tablets, and laptops. There are tutorials on how to configure common devices at help.outlook.com. Please refer to your device’s support documentation and support service for assistance.
You can access your TAFE SA emails with most desktop email clients (e.g. Windows Mail, Thunderbird, etc.). There are basic settings needed to configure your program at help.outlook.com. Please refer to your program author’s website for additional information on how to configure the program.
Some other webmail services will be able to access your TAFE SA emails (if configured and permitted to do so). Please refer to the website’s support documentation for assistance. There are basic settings needed to configure your program at help.outlook.com.
Please Note: TAFE SA is not responsible for the storage of contents in Office 365 or OneDrive. The services are subject to change, and it is the responsibility of students to ensure they have back-ups of important files stored through this service.
TAFE SA students can install Microsoft Office 365 Pro Plus software on up to five personal devices, including your computer, phone and tablet. This means access to the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher and more.
