In the past decade, the number of people displaced from their homes has doubled to 82.4 million worldwide.


Refugee Week is a chance to learn about different cultures, celebrate the resilience of refugees, and promote a more welcoming and inclusive community.


What's happening during Refugee Week at the Library


Displays and Book Exhibits

Libraries will highlight books describing the refugee experience.  These books will be available to borrow.

 

Events and Activities

AMEP will celebrate Refugee week at Adelaide and Salisbury libraries with 'Family, Freedom and Fine Arts - A handicrafts exhibition' showcasing the vibrant heritage of our students.

When: 17 June to Friday 21 June 9.30am to 4:30pm


Adelaide and Salisbury Campus Libraries also invite you to have your name, or a phrase written in a non-Roman script from our culturally diverse student base on Thursday 20 June from 11.00am – 1.00pm.
