The South Australian Skills Commission and Skills SA are hosting an interactive workshop on behalf of the Hon. Blair Boyer MP, Minister for Education, Training and Skills. The VET Completions Interactive Workshop is open to:
  • current and past students
  • apprentices
  • trainees
  • trainers
  • training managers
  • employers
  • Industry Skills Councils
  • union representatives.

Did you know that less than 50% of people who start a vocational education and training (VET) qualification actually complete it? With skills shortages and high demand for skilled workers, the Minister for Education, Training and Skills is holding workshops on how to improve VET completion rates. Your ideas will inform a national taskforce and be considered by Skills Ministers for the new National Skills Agreement.

This is a great opportunity for you to share your experiences and ideas on:
  • why people do and don’t complete their training
  • opportunities to improve qualification completion rates
  • ways to support improved outcomes for learners, workers, and employers.
