Supporting our Riverland and Murrayland students

Nov 24, 2022

Front entrance of TAFE SA Berri Campus

We are mindful that the current situation regarding the River Murray and surrounding districts may be causing great distress and concern, particularly for those students who are directly impacted by the rising water levels, as well as those worried about the welfare of family, friends or loved ones.

If you have been, or will be, impacted we encourage you to make your lecturers and trainers aware of your individual situation and discuss the potential impact to your studies.  That way TAFE SA can work with you to plan ahead in the coming weeks, to ensure your continues success in your studies.

Some of the supports that TAFE SA may be able to assist you include:

  • Access to Student Success and Wellbeing for counselling support
  • Access to Wi-Fi and computing equipment through visiting one of our Study Hub sites
  • Negotiation of payment plans
  • Adjustments to your study and assessment plans, upon discussion with your trainer

Student Success and Wellbeing provides free and confidential Counselling and Welfare support to all enrolled students in a safe, private, and confidential space.  Appointments are available by phone and video calls for all students, as well as on campus at selected locations.  If you require support, please get in touch with one of our Student Counsellors by booking an appointment through our online booking system at the Student Counselling webpage or by phoning 1800 882 661

Please stay up to date with local information and warnings about the South Australian River Murray Flood Situation on the SES website
