The Australian Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) has released alerts for students to be careful of employment offers from online study platforms, seeking to employ students to promote their services.
TEQSA website advises that some of these online study platforms and websites may promote, enable or supply academic cheating services (also known as contract cheating). Students are warned that promoting or sale of academic cheating services are illegal and attract significant penalties. There is a risk to students employed to promote such websites. The student could face criminal penalties if the website is found to be breaking the law.
