Adelaide Fringe 2024: Lewis Major and TAFE SA Unveil a Dynamic Season of Dance, Circus, and Physical Theatre

Lewis Major in collaboration with Adelaide Fringe and TAFE SA, is thrilled to announce its exhilarating season at the 2024 festival, curated and produced in-house by Lewis Major. This ground-breaking season will feature 182 performances across 11 shows, including 4 world premieres and 4 Australian premieres.

Embracing a global outlook while maintaining a strong local focus, the season brings together a diverse array of local, national, and international artists, including five international companies, alongside Lewis Major's award-winning ensemble of dancers.

With works from Taiwan, the UK and across Europe, as well as First Nations, disability-led and local emerging artists presenting, we are proud to continue our collaboration with AC Arts to present the best of dance, circus and physical theatre at Adelaide Fringe 2024.

 

Highlights of the season include:

 

Maliphant x Major (SA) - WORLD PREMIERE: A new collaboration between Russell Maliphant OBE (UK) and Lewis Major's company, presenting internationally acclaimed repertoire, previously exclusive to major ballet companies in Europe and America. This is a rare opportunity for Australian audiences to witness these masterpieces performed by South Australian dancers.
