At the start of 2023, we set an ambitious target to increase our donations by 30% from our 2022 donation rate, striving to obtain 508 donations in total for the 2023 year.

We are pleased to share that we surpassed this goal, clocking up:

• 612 donations for the year, which represents a growth rate of just over 56% from 2022 donation figures (and placing us in the Top 10 position for growth in South Australia).
• TAFE SA is now number 15 in Lifeblood’s Top 20 for donations made in South Australia.
• TAFE SA is now number five in Lifeblood’s Top 20 new donors registered and donated in South Australia.

A loud and appreciative “thank you” from the 1,836 people who received a generous, life-saving donation from TAFE SA. This includes former TAFE SA student Amira Soliman, who you may recall desperately needed to find matched donors to enable her to have life-saving surgery last year.

We will continue to work with the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood throughout 2024, so let’s see if we can maintain this phenomenal donation rate.
