Are you ready to change lives?
You’re set to make a big difference.
Just give blood or plasma between 1 March and 31 May with the TAFE SA Lifeblood Team.


Facts to get your blood pumping 


  • According to the Red Cross, one in three Australians will need blood or blood products in their lifetime, but only one in thirty Australians donate blood every year 
  • Donating blood is the quickest and easiest way to make a life-changing impact and help somebody recover from illness or injury 
  • Cancer patients are the biggest recipients of Australia’s blood donations
  • You’ll receive snacks and refreshments to enjoy after you donate blood!

Join team TAFE SA and make a life-saving difference 

The Tertiary Blood Challenge 1 March - 31 May 2023 is bringing people together to save lives. 50,000 tertiary students and staff across the country are participating in the challenge. 

Our aim is to achieve 508 TAFE SA donations in 2023– so whether you’re donating for the first time, or you’re a regular donor, we need you onboard. We’ll be updating the TAFE SA dashboard every week with donation numbers until 31 May. 

You can also check in on the front runners throughout the challenge.

How to participate in the Tertiary Blood Challenge 1 March – 31 May

  1. Download or login to the Donate Blood app. 
  2. Join the TAFE SA Lifeblood Team by clicking ‘more’, then ‘preferences’ — just search for your team ‘TAFE SA.’
  3. Book a donation. Every donation you make goes toward the team’s tally!
